A woman suffering a serious medical condition has been winched from a cruise ship off the New South Wales coast.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter rendezvoused with the vessel just after 2 o’clock on Sunday afternoon, around 60 nautical miles north east of Newcastle.
A Critical Care Medical Team was lowered onto the English liner, and assisted to treat the woman.
She was flown to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
