BURST WATER MAIN AND ANOTHER SINKHOLE IN WALLSEND

2019 started with a real dampener for some Wallsend residents, with a water main bursting on a suburban street on Tuesday.

The breakage has been blamed on recent heat – but it’s not the first time locals have been left with a sinking feeling.
