CHARGES LAID OVER FATAL CRASH NEAR GLEN INNES

Police have charged a 19-year-old man over a fatal crash at Newton Boyd, east of Glen Innes in September last year.

The South Grafton man will face court in May, charged with a string of offences, including dangerous driving occasioning death and grievous bodily harm.

It’s alleged he was behind the wheel of a Nissan Patrol, when it left Old Glen Innes Road and rolled down an embankment late on September 14.

A 20-year-old man died at the scene, while three others, including the driver, were treated for non life-threatening injuries.
