An accused robber has fronted court after swimming off to evade police in Gosford.
The 35-year-old allegedly demanded staff open a safe at Amber Tiles in North Gosford Monday, stealing cash.
He then allegedly drove off in a stolen vehicle, before crashing and being found in a nearby golf course pond.
The Woy Woy man has been refused bail to return to Gosford Local Court next month.
