Central Coast Council says tap water is safe to drink after residents complained about ongoing discolouration.
Close to a dozen suburbs have been impacted by poor water quality – including Gosford, Bensville and the Peninsula.
The local government says while it’s “unappealing”, it happens from time to time.
It says its regular pipe-flushing program has been hampered by more pressing storm-related repairs.
