LENNOX HEAD’S SKULLCANDY COMPETITION CANNED

Junior surfers across Northern New South Wales have suffered a disappointing blow, with the states surfing body announcing, on behalf of the Le-Ba Boardriders, the annual Skullcandy surf competition has been scraped.

Slated to run in Lennox Head from July 7 to 11, the competition is one of the regions most significant events.

It normally encompasses a pro junior qualifying series event, as well as an elite competition for promising grommets aged 12 to 16

“I’m super bummed about the comp being cancelled, it’s such a good comp and hopefully we’ll be back next year.”

Other Surfing NSW events for later in the year, however, remain on the calendar.
