MAN DIES IN SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH AT PORT MACQUARIE

A man has died after his ute crashed into a tree at Port Macquarie.

Emergency services were called to Riverside Drive, Port Macquarie, yesterday afternoon (May 16) after reports a Mitsuishi utility had crashed into a tree.

The 45-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers from Mid North Coast Police District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The motor-vehicle accident was one of several across the state overnight.

A man also died in a two-vehicle crash in Sydney, while a woman and two children are in a critical condition after a two-vehicle crash in the state’s Riverina.

Police are using the triple road tragedies to remind all drivers to slow down and drive to the conditions.
