With Edrick Lee sidelined due to injury, an opportunity has opened up ahead of Sunday’s Round 9 clash with Paramatta.
Newcastle Knight’s head coach Adam O’Brien will make a call on who will replace him on Tuesday.
Lee injured his arm in the opening minutes of Sunday’s gritty 14-12 win over Manly, bringing Tex Hoy off the bench.
Hoy is one contender for the wing spot, as well as Tautau Moga, Starford To’a, Gehamat Shibasaki and Tyronne Roberts-Davis.
It’s yet to be confirmed if Lee has indeed fractured his arm, but O’Brien says he’s “pretty sure that’s the case”.
“Sione, I haven’t had a chance to check but I’m pretty sure both him and Kalyn passed HIA’s,” O’Brien says.
The Knights will play the Eels on Sunday, 4pm, at McDonald Jones Stadium.
