COMPANY FINED $30,000 FOR WASTE AT PACIFIC HIGHWAY NEAR NEW ITALY

Plenty of mess has been discovered following the completion of the highway between Ballina and Coffs Harbour.

The company that completed the highway upgrade, Laing O’Rourke, has been fined, $30,000 for this waste left south of New Italy.

The New South Wales Environment Protection Authority fined the company over the alleged mismanagement of concrete and pollution of a watercourse.
