KNIGHTS WIN AGAINST BULLDOGS COMES AT A COST

Newcastle five-eighth Kurt Mann is expected to miss the next few rounds of the NRL season with a suspected medial ligament tear to his right knee.

The 28-year-old went down in agony following a clash with Canterbury half Kyle Flanagan in the first half of Friday night’s 32-16 win.

Connor Watson came off the bench as Mann’s replacement; he will also be sent for scans today to check on his ankle.

While Bradman Best was forced off the field in the second half with a foot injury after scoring a try.

These latest injuries adding further strain to the Knights’ who are already missing star fullback Kalyn Ponga, five-eighth Blake Green and winger Edrick Lee from their first choice line up, with all expected to be sidelined for the next few weeks.
