Two local clubs are through to the next round of the Australian Boardriders Battle in Newcastle.
In the open men’s, North Shelly won by 2-point-4-3, while in another heat, Avoca received a combined score of 8-point-5-8.
Meanwhile, the open women weren’t as lucky, both teams getting a score of less than 5-points.
The finals continue tomorrow.
