Hunter New England Health is calling for more people in the Taree and Forster areas to get a covid test.
Efforts doubled this past week – but they remain significantly lower than other areas in the district.
“Don’t ignore mild symptoms fever a sore throat a tickle in the nose change in taste or smell please get tested we need to make sure the virus hasn’t been introduced and is not circulating in your community,” Public Health Controller Dr David Durrheim said.
