Tamworth horse trainer Cody Morgan has been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
Morgan has been hit with a $7500 fine for requesting Jane Clement’s horse Rapid Eagle to be scratched in Race 5 of the Baxter Boots and Shoes Class 2 Handicap on August 22.
He was unsuccessful and with both horses racing, Morgan’s horse came in second while Clement’s finished seventh.
Morgan has entered a guilty plea to corruption, dishonesty, and misleading behaviour to Racing New South Wales.
