21 NEW COVID CASES IN NORTHERN NSW

There’s been 21 new cases just south of the border – including 13 at Byron Bay.

A cluster there now stands at 16, those cases linked to an event called Wizard Blizzard at Coorabell Hall.

It featured four bands – including Lennox Head group Power Drill – one member testing positive.

“We’ve only just started tentatively allowing small events in the hall so it’s a bit of a blow to hear all this happened,” said Coorabell Hall volunteer Ouida Wrencher.

Health authorities say it’s unknown how many people attended the event.

A further two cases have also been linked to a schoolies party venue.
