Beekeepers preparing to have their hives destroyed

Beekeepers in the Orara Valley area are preparing to have their bees euthanised to ensure the deadly Varroa Mite is destroyed.

The Department of Primary Industries will make its way through 1,000 hives over the next few weeks – starting today.
