The Queen has been laid to rest at a state funeral on a momentous day in London. After the lying in state ended at Westminster Hall, her coffin was taken to Westminster Abbey for a service.
It was then taken on a procession full of pageantry through London to Wellington Arch. After travelling by hearse to Windsor Castle, the Queen was farewelled publicly at a committal service at St George’s Chapel before being buried in a private family service.
