A man has been seriously injured in a light plane crash in NSW’s Hunter Valley.
Police believe the aircraft exploded into flames as it crashed into a field on approach to an airstrip in Luskintyre, near Maitland, about 2pm.
A man, aged in his late 40s, was found lying on the ground near the wreckage.
He is being treated for serious burns to his arms and legs.
