Lismore’s Nathan Herne has blitzed field to win his first ever S-five-thousand race.
After breaking the track record in qualifying, the 20-year-old crossed the line one and a half seconds ahead of nearest rival Joey Mawson.
He’ll start on pole again in race two tomorrow morning.
