VIDEO: SINGLETON BUS CRASH

An eight-year-old boy is dead and two children airlifted to hospital in a critical condition, after a school bus and truck collided in Singleton just before 4 o’clock this afternoon.

The crash, at the corner of Church and Kelso streets, left several others with serious injuries, including the bus driver, who’s being treated for cuts to his head in the nearby hospital.

The 27-year-old truck driver also suffered cuts, and is being treated at Singleton Hospital, along with the mother of one of the children, who’s suffering shock.

Police are appealing for everyone to avoid the area as investigations continue.
