It is going to get hotter and hotter leading up to Christmas with the heatwave spreading eastward.
There is a weak change on the weekend which may trigger a few showers for the Central Coast and Hunter across but the heat will remain. The stronger change is going to come through on Christmas Eve spreading north across the region on Christmas Day and the showers look to be quite widespread with storms likely. On the bright side it is going to be cooler for Christmas lunch.
