Newcastle Jets players Mark Birighitti, Josh Brillante and Adam Taggart have been named in Ange Postecoglu’s 30-man preliminary World Cup squad.
The trio will join the rest of the Socceroos squad in Gosford for a two-week training camp in the lead-up to their farewell match against South Africa at ANZ Stadium in May.
The final 23-man Australian squad for the FIFA 2014 World Cup in Brazil will be announced on June 2.
