         A Greenland shark in Australia, Not possible mate.

         Seeing only a single fin and no large silhouette id have to agree with marcus,
         It was a Pacific Sunfish.

   There have been two sun fish of stocko breakwater for the past month sadly the small one was found dead at the sailing club at stockton about 10 days ago–clearly the bent dorsal fin shows it at as a sun fish.
