WEATHER: EXTREMELY WARM SEA TEMPERATURES

Going for an ocean swim this week? Chances are you will notice how incredibly warm the water is.

The cooler side of the scale is 22 to 23 degrees around Newcastle and the Central Coast, but head further north and things get a little crazy, with water temperatures from Coffs Harbour to Byron up to 28 degrees.

The warm ocean temperatures are helping to produce very humid conditions along the coast, with isolated showers thanks to consistent onshore winds driving the moist air in towards the mountains.

Inland, the hot dry run will continue for the rest of the week.
