MAN CHARGED OVER POLICE PURSUIT

A Lake Macquarie man has been charged with numerous offences, over a pursuit south of Taree which saw a car allegedly reach speeds of 180-kilometres per hour.

Around 4:30pm yesterday, police say they detected the allegedly stolen vehicle speeding along the Pacific Highway at Nabiac.

Road spikes were deployed when the 26-year-old failed to pull over.

It’s believed the vehicle had also been allegedly used after an armed robbery in Toronto.
