KNIGHTS LOOKING FOR A NEW ‘VISIONARY’ COACH

Chairman of the Newcastle Knights, Brian McGuigan, has spoken one-on-one to NBN News, outlining the future direction of the team.

McGuigan says the search has begun for a new head coach, following Monday’s sacking of Rick Stone.

He confirmed the club has already received expressions of interest, and says it will be looking for a ‘visionary’ to fill the position.

McGuigan also threw his support behind CEO Matt Gidley, who’s copped criticism that he’s not up to the job.
