Jets W-League coach Craig Deans believes poor defence and his team selection were to blame for yesterday’s 5-1 loss to Adelaide.
Newcastle’s Australian representatives didn’t train with the squad in the lead up to the game, as they attended a midweek Matildas camp in Canberra.
With no preparation, Deans admits his side never found its rhythm, as the Jets conceded five goals and dropped out of the top four.
The W-League Jets will return to the training pitch tomorrow to prepare for a vital clash with Western Sydney on December 27.
In a major boost, Chloe Logarzo and Rhali Dobson are both expected to be fit to face the Wanderers.
