RESCUE TOWER BEGINS TO RISE

Ballina’s long-awaited replacement marine rescue tower is slowly beginning to take shape.

Time-lapse vision has captured its progress, with foundations being laid and walls beginning to appear, as builders continue working on the multi-storey structure which will overlook the Ballina bar.

The $2.28 million dollar tower, funded by all three levels of government, is expected to be fully operational by the end of October.
