FIREARM AND DRUGS SEIZED ON THE CENTRAL COAST

Police have seized a firearm and drugs, following a search of a Central Coast unit.

Officers tried to stop a Subaru Liberty along Karalta Road at Erina around midday yesterday, when the driver allegedly failed to pull over.

They chased the car for a short time, before ending the pursuit due to safety concerns.

Later that afternoon, police searched a unit on the same road, where they allegedly found methamphetamine, a firearm, replica pistol, ammunition, as well as drugs and cash in a motorcycle seat.

Investigations continue.
