A 65-year-old man remains in John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition, after being hit by a car at Port Stephens last night.
Police say he was struck by a Toyota sedan while walking along Nelson Bay Road at Fern Bay at around 7.
The 62-year-old driver stopped and rendered assistance, before being taken for mandatory blood and urine tests.
