A man has been charged after allegedly discharging a firearm on the Gold Coast early this morning.
Around 3am, police allege that a man fired a handgun into the air outside an apartment complex on Aqua Street in Southport.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police subsequently charged a 22-year-old Calamvale man with unlawful possession of a weapon, discharging a weapon in a public place, and being armed so as to cause fear.
He will appear in local court tomorrow.
