Port Macquarie surfer Matt Banting has revealed a pelvic injury forced him to pull out of the Pipeline Masters in Hawaii.
The 21-year-old withdrew a few days before the event – ending his chances of re-qualifying for next year’s Championship Tour.
Banting has since posted on social media, saying he’s devastated, and will need four to eight weeks rest.
