POLICE SEEK PUBLIC ASSISTANCE OVER VIOLENT GOLD COAST ROBBERY

Police have released CCTV images of a man they are hoping will be able to assist them in relation to a violent robbery on the Gold Coast earlier this year.

Around 6:20pm on November 30, on a man entered a convenience store on Aubrey Street in Surfers Paradise.

After asking for cigarettes, the man tried to leave the store without paying, before he struck a male staff member in the face when he attempted to intervene.

The 26-year-old staff member suffered bruising to his face.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his early 40s, balding with dark hair.
