More than a kilo of what is believed to be synthetic cannabis was seized from Hunter businesses in a targeted police operation yesterday.
Just before midday on Friday, police executed a search warrant on a tobacconist on Hanbury Street, Mayfield.
Police seized 326g of what is alleged to be synthetic cannabis along with an amount of cash.
Then around 4:15pm, police executed another search warrant on a tobacconist in High Street, Maitland, where they seized almost 1.2kg of what is alleged to be synthetic cannabis.
They also seized a number of what are believed to be ‘ice’ pipes.
No charges have yet been laid.
