ALLEGED ATTACK OUTSIDE GOLD COAST CASINO ENDS IN ASSAULT CHARGES

A staff member of a Gold Coast casino has broken his ankle during an alleged assault this morning.

Shortly after 4am, a man was being escorted from the venue on Casino Drive at Broadbeach, when he allegedly punched the 35-year-old male employee.

He suffered a broken ankle when he fell to the ground.

A 22-year-old Robina man was detained by security until police arrived.

He was later charged with grievous bodily harm and will appear in court on Monday.
