The man charged over a one-punch attack on Newcastle surfer Jake Sylvester faced court for the first time today.
22-year-old Billy Clay is accused of assaulting Sylvester outside a hotel on Steel Street last month.
During a brief hearing, Clay’s bail was continued, and he’s expected to enter a plea when the case returns to court next month.
