APPEALS MADE TO THE PUBLIC INTO MISSING GUINEA PIGS

Police are appealing for help from the public after two guinea pigs were taken from a Gold Coast child care centre.

It is believed the offenders have entered the centre on Pascoe Road in Ormeau, and removed the animals from their outside enclosure sometime over the weekend.

The two guinea pigs, named Charli and Danni, are popular with the children, aiding in developing physical, social, emotional, and cognitive skills.

They are sorely missed.

The enclosure was secure and there were no signs of any other animal involvement.
