Police are investigating a fatal crash in Port Stephens this morning.
Emergency services were called to the Pacific Highway just after 11am following reports a Toyota Echo left the road and hit a tree.
The driver of the vehicle, a man believed to be aged in his 20s, died at the scene.
His passenger, a woman also believed to be also aged in her 20s, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to John Hunter Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
