It’s an impressive cloud band on the satellite sweeping across eastern Australia.
The long awaited rain will move in across north across the Northern Rivers and south-west Queensland tonight.
Cooler winds will move in behind the system over the weekend. So we have a cooler weekend on the way with southerly winds and partly cloudy skies.
The rain band will clear from Northern Rivers and south-east Queensland.
Some light isolated shower activity is expected.
