TWO TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AFTER GOLD COAST UTE CRASH

Two men have been taken into custody after an allegedly stolen vehicle crashed on the Gold Coast.

Police say that a ute was seen driving erratically at Burleigh Heads shortly before 10pm last night, before responding to reports that there had been a traffic crash at University Drive in Robina.

Two men had fled the scene by the time police arrived, but were taken into custody a short time later.

Both men were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
