FIREARM POINTED AT GOLD COAST EMPLOYEES LEAVING WORK

Two women on the Gold Coast have been threatened at gunpoint while leaving work overnight.

The two employees of a Highland Park tavern on Alexander Drive were leaving work at around 10.30pm, when they noticed a man loitering in the rear carpark.

The man, who was wearing a motorcycle helmet, approached their vehicle as it was pulling out of the carpark, where he produced a firearms and pointed it in their direction.

The two women fled the scene in their car while the man left on foot.

Police would now like to speak to a man who may be able to assist in their enquiries over the incident.

He is described as having an athletic build and was wearing a red, hooded jumper, black pants, black shoes, black gloves and a black motorcycle helmet.
