He waited a long time for his first Group 1 race win, but Newcastle trainer Ben Smith only had to wait a fortnight for his second, $101 outsider El Dorado Dreaming claiming today’s Inglis Sires in a photo finish.
His other Group 1 winner In Her Time fell just short in the TJ Smith Stakes this afternoon, finishing third.
Kris Lees’ Le Romain was fourth.
