A 21-year-old man’s been granted conditional bail after he allegedly assaulted a man with a plastic cup at a Newcastle licensed premises.
The man was arrested at the venue on Hunter Street just after 1 o’clock on Sunday morning, after it’s alleged he grabbed a plastic tumbler and struck a 28-year-old man over the head.
It’s understood the men weren’t know to each other.
The injured man, a 28-year-old, was taken to The Mater Hospital for treatment on a laceration to his forehead.
