A man is in a critical condition after being shot by police at a home, west of Grafton.
At around 4am, officers were called to the Waterview Heights property, amid concerns for the man’s welfare.
When police arrived, the 36-year-old allegedly lunged at them with a knife, and was shot.
He was treated at the scene before being flown to Gold Coast University Hospital.
A Critical Incident Team will investigate the case.
