Wallabies centre Samu Kerevi will captain the Queensland Reds in the upcoming Super Rugby season, after being given the nod over Evans Head’s Izack Rodda.
Rodda was considered a chance to captain the Brisbane-based side, following several impressive performances last year, including in the green and gold.
Now into his third season with the Reds – the 22 year old signed a contract extension last year, which will see him remain in Queensland till the end of 20-20.
Meanwhile, Wallabies veteran Adam Ashley-Cooper has signed a one-year deal with the Waratahs.
The 34-year-old is hoping a return to Super Rugby will lead to selection for Australia’s World Cup campaign later this year.
Ashley-Cooper will add to his 61 caps for the Waratahs.
