A motorcyclist has died after a crash at Bendemeer, in the New England region.
At about 8am today, emergency services were called to the New England Highway, 40 kilometres north of Tamworth, following reports of a crash.
Police are being told that the motorcyclist hit a kangaroo, causing him to fall off his bike, before being struck by a passing utility.
He died at the scene.
The man has not yet been formally identified, but it is believed he is aged in his 20s.
Officers from the Oxley Police District are invesitigating the crash.
