A man is recovering in John Hunter Hospital after a serious car crash at Lake Macquarie this morning.
Emergency services, including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter responded to the two vehicle collision on Awaba Road near Toronto, just after 8 o’clock.
It was reported a man in one of the vehicles was trapped, with serious injuries.
The 26-year-old was rescued from the wreckage, and treated for multiple traumatic injuries by paramedics at the scene.
He was flown to the John Hunter Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
