LOCAL HOSPITALS SHORT STAFFED WITH QLD BORDER CLOSED

Queensland’s border closure is putting pressure on Northern Rivers hospitals, now finding themselves short of qualified medical staff.

An estimated 100 doctors who live in the sunshine state are unable to work in The Northern New South Wales Local Health District due to the closure.

As it stands, health care workers are not being granted a quarantine exemption if they cross the border.
