Patients will soon have faster access to emergency care on the Mid North Coast, with a new helipad to be built on the roof of Port Macquarie Base Hospital.
$10 million will be included in next week’s state budget to start construction of the new pad.
The region will also be receiving a new HealthOne facility in Laurieton to replace the old brick building.
Construction is expected to begin in early 2021.
