FLOOD STORIES LAUNCH IN LISMORE’S QUAD TOMORROW

You may spot people wearing gumboots and bright yellow raincoats in Lismore’s CBD over the next week.

It’s all part of a storytelling experience about the city’s devastating 2017 floods.

Participants will listen to the stories of survivors and those involved in the recovery effort.

“Flood stories has been a really healing process for the participants and we really hope for the community as well,” Artist Jeanti St Clair said.

“When I listened to Jeanti’s beautiful work I had a good cry – it was good. I think you need to make sure you bring a hanky,” Lismore Lantern Parade Director, Jilly Jackson, added.

The free event runs until next Thursday.
