MOTORCYCLE RIDER DIES IN MID NORTH COAST CRASH

Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash which claimed the life of a motorcyclist on the Mid North Coast.

Emergency services were called to King Creek Road at King Creek near Wauchope, after a motorbike and a Holden Statesman sedan collided at 2.40pm on Sunday.

The rider, a 51-year-old man, was treated by paramedics, but they couldn’t revive him.

The Holden driver, a 74-year-old man, was taken to Port Macquarie Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

He also underwent mandatory testing.

A crime scene was set up, and a police investigation into the incident has started.
